Why does one always stand in the longest queue in a supermarket? Why does a toast always fall on its buttered side? – These are just two examples for every days' mysteries according to the definition of "murphy's law". But there seems to be something similar like murphy's law in every day's language: Most of the times, one just uses words without wondering about their origins or genuine meanings. The german language in particular provides a lot of mystery-words which sound almost surreal. Here's the first example, graphicly edited: the "SNOWBROOM".
